Outfields Farm has to be the ideal retreat. Once you have left the lane and entered the gates you travel 3/4 of a mile down the driveway to the farmhouse. The route takes you through the fields up and down the hills and over a babbling stream. By the time you get to the farmhouse and stables you're already in a different state of mind. The farm cannot be seen from any road, there is no noise just wide expanses of peaceful open countryside.

To reach the stables you pass our truly impressive duck pond with resident ducks. For loading or unloading you can drive your car up to the stables. During your stay there is a floodlit car park and if the weather is bad, you will be able to park in an adjacent barn.

Initially we have two converted stables, one being a one bedroom unit and the second having two. Both units share a fully enclosed courtyard with outside seating and barbecue area. Our house is near but separated from the stables. So, we're always on hand if you need us but we will respect your privacy and leave you to enjoy your stay.

There's so much to explore at Outfields! We are literally surrounded by numerous seldom used bridleways. These are fantastic for walking or cycling and literally a ten minute walk along one of the bridleways will bring you to the Glenn Miller Museum. This really is worth a visit especially if you time your visit with one of their festivals.

At Outfields we do keep our own free range chickens. In fact, one of the only noises that you are likely to hear is one of our cockerels crowing. Throughout your stay we will keep you supplied with complimentary free range eggs.

The nearest pub The Blacksmiths Arms is less than two miles away offering good food both lunchtimes and evenings. The local shop and Post Office is the same distance. Remember though, we'll do your shopping for you. Part of the service you'll receive at Outfields is we'll have your shopping ready for you when you arrive and top you up with anymore that you need during your stay.
