Outfields Farm ::: Campsite in Bedford

Our 4.5 acre paddock is open as a campsite from April until September each year. The setting is stunning as we are ¾ of a mile from the nearest road and the paddock is surrounded by open fields. Completely hidden away this has to be the perfect rural retreat with total silence and tranquillity. The paddock is fenced and gated making it totally secure for those with small children. We are surrounded by numerous public bridleways making this a great base for anyone who enjoys walking or cycling.

Camping

We limit the number of pitches available to a maximum of 100 to ensure that each pitch is a very generous size and no one will have the feeling of being crammed in!

For the last two weekends of August our campsite is open for Twinwoods Festival goers. During those two weekends we offer more facilities. Please click on the relevant tab below for information on facilities and prices.

All accommodation rooms are already let for the festival but we still have places on the campsite

Camping

Situated 1/2 a mile from Twinwoods, Outfields Farm offers Twinwood Festival campers a quieter alternative with larger pitches and higher quality conveniences.

Unlike Twinwoods you do not have to have a 3 day ticket to book a camp site pitch. We offer FestivalGoers pitches from 1 night upwards.

We will operate a shuttle bus service each day from 11:00am until midnight to and from Twinwoods. This worked extremely well last year. Each Booking includes 1 return jounrney per day. Extra trips will be charged at £2 each.

Last year was when we first opened the paddock as a camp site and we received fantastic people comments from the people who stayed with for last year's festival. Everyone felt that we would entice many more campers if we had toilets. So.... we have two single toilets available on site.

Showers for hire!

We are purchasing a limited number of solar camping showers and shower tents.

The showers will heat 20 litres of water in approximately 3 hours of daylight.The shower tent comes with shower hanging point, towel rail,hanging corner shelf and engaged/vacant sign.

For £7 per day you can hire the shower and tent. We will assemble it for you on your pitch when you arrive.These will be for your own personal use. If you would like to book one please say so when we call you for your payment. The numbers will be very limited so do please book early. These must be booked for a minimum of 3 days.

THE NEW COMMUNAL BBQ AND GAZEBO AREA IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL TO SHARE

Again, we will be opening a farm shop from 8am until 11am each day. We will be selling freshly baked bread and croissants, homemade cakes, croissants and muffins, sausages, bacon, free range eggs, butter, salad, cold meats, local honey, fresh salad and a few other delights to tempt you!

The Costs

Included with each pitch is two free shuttle passes valid for the duration of your stay. Additional tickets can be purchased at a cost of £2.50 per person per day.

One pitch ticket is required for each tent, caravan or motor home.

1 night pitch is £25
2 night pitch is £40
3 or 4 night pitch is £50

Hook ups are available at £6 per night.

Payments must be made in full at time of booking and are non-refundable. Payments can be made by credit or debit card.

To make a booking please use the online booking form. (Completion of the Booking Form does mean that agree to the Campsite Etiquette detailed below). We will then call you within 24 hours to take your payment. Please give a telephone number that we can contact you on at anytime. Once we have received your payment we will send you a Confirmation of Booking with a booking reference. This will be required to gain entry on to the site on your arrival.
